Roberto Tapia
Regional Mexican singer Roberto Tapia is headed for the Gallo Center! Renowned for his incredible vocal performances and the festive, party-like atmosphere of his live concerts, Tapia hails from San Diego but was raised in Sinola, Mexico. At age 11, the future musician entered Difocur, a prestigious music school where he studied clarinet. While mastering the clarinet, Tapia was still reluctant to showcase his talents. But after coaxing from friend and family, Tapia began performing at various dancehalls and receptions. At 17, he made his professional debut in Tijuana, Mexico alongside the Lobito de Sinaloa. Among his hit albums is “El Muchacho,” released in 2012, which hit #1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart. Tapia also is one of the coaches on “La Voz Kids,” a Spanish-language version of “The Voice,” which airs on the Telemundo Network.
