Celebracion del Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead Celebration
Dear friends, members and supporters we want to let you know that our event "2nd. Annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration" is just around the corner. Misinformation about the event was badly spreaded into the community and our promotional posters were totally torned out by strangers. We deeply regret this behavior that only hurts the funding of our community events. TIME EVENT FOR THIS SATURDAY NOVEMBER 1st 2014 2:00PM Face painting for Day of the Dead/Dia De Los Muertos, in front of Modesto Centre Plaza 4:00pm Sugar Skull painting & designing in front of Modesto Centre Plaza 4:00pm Car show in front of Brenden Theatre 4:00pm Viewing of the Alters/Altares/Ofrendas in the lobby of the Modesto Centre Plaza 4:00pm Viewing of decorated tables with theme of "VIVA LOS MUERTOS/LONG LIVE THE DEAD" 6:00pm Procession from St. Stanislaus Catholic Church parking lot on K Street to the Modesto Centre Plaza. There will be a hearse in the procession, decorated coffin with the theme and 6 pallbearers, motorcycles; Aztec dancers; several folkloric groups and many community members. 6:20pm Aztec dancers will entertain the public in front of the Modesto Centre Plaza 7:00pm Awards Banquet, dinner, live entertainment and dance Tickets are $35.00 a person or $20.00 for students and can be purchased at the Modesto Visitors Convention Bureau, 1150 9th Street, Modesto or call (209) 526-5588 or LCR at (209) 303-2664. For your convenience you can buy your tickets at the door.
