Emporium presents is bringing the celebrated L.A. culture-mashers Ozomatli back to The State for one night only. If you?re not familiar with Ozo, the six-piece band can be described as a Latino-and-beyond collision of hip hop and salsa, dancehall and cumbia, samba and funk, merengue and comparsa, East LA R&B and New Orleans second line, Jamaican ragga and Indian raga. Got that? Let Ozomatli take you on a tour of L.A. and the world beyond. Known for their vocal activist viewpoints and their wide array of musical styles, the group formed in 1995 and has since released seven studio albums. Ozomatli is also known for advocating for farm workers? rights and immigration reform. The band has performed in various countries all over the world including China, Tunisia, Jordan, and Burma.
