COMEDY TO THE RESCUE! – Benefit for Saving Lives Animal Rescue
Clay Foley loves being a comedian. Whether he’s poking fun at his elderly parents or blithely recounting his decade as an animal cruelty investigator, Clay’s eyes say, “Can you believe we’re doing this?” That gratitude – alongside clever punchlines, inventive props, and a compelling stage presence – has earned Clay a spot among the country’s most interesting comics. Clay’s passion project, Comedy to the Rescue, is the culmination of his years working in animal welfare and those in stand-up comedy. The tour spans the country raising funds for local pet charities. Comedy to the Rescue is a series of stand-up fundraisers benefiting homeless pets. The tour features comedian Clay Foley, former cruelty investigator and avid animal rescuer. Each Comedy to the Rescue event benefits a local animal charity. Proceeds from this show will assist Saving Lives Animal Rescue. Saving Lives Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization serving Stanislaus County and surrounding areas. The rescue takes in stray and abandoned cats and dogs, provides them with socialization, food and veterinary care, and rehomes them with families in California and Nevada looking for pets to love. The rescue, formed during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020, rescues and rehomes an average of 350 cats and dogs each year Clay lives in Illinois with his wife and an ever-growing cast of dogs and cats. When not touring, he writes and produces his weird news program, Foley Informed. Doors at 6; show at 7 p.m.
