There will be Latin food\, live music and gift baskets\, followed by the movie The Landfill Harmonic. The documentary follows the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura\, Paraguay\, a musical group of kids who play instruments made entirely out of garbage. When their story goes viral\, music director Favio Chavez and his group embark on a new adventure of arena performances and sold-out concerts. After a natural disaster strikes\, Chavez must find a way to save the orchestra and provide a source of hope for the town. The film is a testament to the transformative power of music and the resilience of the human spirit. The film has been invited to participate at 130 festivals and has been honored with 23 awards. Bring an orchestra or band instrument\, working or not\, and receive free admission.
