DESCRIPTION:The Columbia Big Band Show October 12th at the State Theatre will celebrate the best in American music playing the Great American Song Book. The band and vocalists will feature the great sounds of Count Basie\, Glenn Miller\, Benny Goodman\, \, Frank Sinatra\, Nat King Cole\, Duke Ellington\, Michael Buble\, Harry Connick\, Jr.\, and Tony Bennett and more. The 20 piece Columbia Big Band and vocalists present an amazing musical program that has performed throughout California for decades under the direction of Dr. Rod Harris. The dynamite trumpet\, sax and trombone players combined with the hard driving rhythm section and vocals will make this one great evening. The show will also benefit music and arts education in our schools. Some of the musicians teach music locally in our schools. This will be a great evening and one to remember. Doors at 6\; show at 7 p.m. Tickets: $30\, $25 & $20
