DESCRIPTION:“The Best Day Ever!” Is the phrase heard most often after the Society for disABILITIES Special Needs Prom. For 300 teens and young adults with disabilities\, the Special Needs Prom provides a magical evening to enjoy. For many\, attending their prom\, or formal dance is not an option for many reasons. The lack of adaptive equipment and proper nursing care may keep many from attending. Some have a fear of feeling left out or alone. Others do not have the disposable income and some are just never asked.\n\nThis valuable program has many benefits including: increase in self-esteem & self-confidence\, inclusion\, positive change in family dynamics\, improved quality of life\, and feeling of Independence.
