Simultaneously\, she loved Broadway and American jazz\, but also the traditional music of Portugal\; she was particularly enamored with the Fado of Am lia Rodrigues. This passion drove her to study music at the esteemed American Conservatory Theatre (ACT) of San Francisco\, and then back to her roots and heritage in Portugal.\n\n \n\n Today\, Ramana's repertoire captures traditional Fado and influences from the Portuguese diaspora in a musical tapestry that ranges from whispering\, haunting\, ballads\; to jazzy blues.
