Independent Film and Artistic Achievement Awards Ceremony\, an evening recognizing and honoring the work of artists and filmmakers whose focus is on the counter/geek culture. Attendees will be greeted by a red carpet which will usher them into the Art Deco-inspired\, historic State Theatre\, where photo opportunities await\, along with noted special guests and a Hollywood-style ceremony befitting the men and women working in this new and innovative realm. The ceremony at The State follows Steam House Con\, being held Fri. and Sat. Oct. 2 and 3\, at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock. The event includes panel discussions\, celebrity guests\, vendors\, gaming tournaments\, all of which kick off with a gala Masquerade Ball the night of Fri.
