DESCRIPTION:The City of Modesto\, along with a number of other organizations\, will host Modesto Bike to Work Day. All-day secured bicycle parking is available for free!\n\nA continental breakfast will be provided to all bicycle riders who commute to work on a bicycle. The first 150 riders will receive a free T-shirt and bicycle incentives. All riders can enter the prize drawing and win one of several prizes\n\nBike to Work Day is a part of California’s Bike Commute Week 2016\, in which thousands of California residents commute to work by bicycle and leave their air-polluting vehicles at home. \n\nThe goals of Bike to Work Day are to develop bicycling as a form of transportation to the work place\, decrease traffic congestion\, improve air quality\, and promote safe bicycle commuting. For those whose commute may seem too daunting to complete entirely by bicycle\, Modesto Area Express (MAX) and Stanislaus Regional Transit (StaRT) offer busses that are equipped with bicycle friendly bike racks.
