Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate financial records for reporting.
- Collaborate with teams and clients to verify and ensure timely financial data.
- Review & Compliance
- Review bookkeeping work for accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Examine payroll reports, sales tax reports, 1099 reports, and business property tax statements for compliance.
- Advise clients on financial obligations and compliance strategies.
- Conduct periodic reviews to strengthen internal controls and data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and industry standards.
- Stay current on regulatory changes, advising clients on risk mitigation.
- Client Relations & Advisory
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with tailored financial guidance.
- Provide insights on financial planning, budgeting, and business strategy.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements to enhance profitability.
- Accounting System Management
- Oversee accounting software implementation and optimization.
- Recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist clients in integrating financial software with other business systems.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor junior accountants and support professional development.
- Foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and training opportunities.
- Delegate tasks effectively to optimize workflow and meet deadlines.
- Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Participate in company strategic planning and process improvements.
- Leverage new tools and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support business development efforts, including client acquisition and proposal writing.
- Identify market opportunities and contribute to long-term financial goals.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or compliance roles.
- Experience with bookkeeping, financial statement review, payroll quarterly reports, sales tax reports, 1099 reports, and business property tax statements.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software (QBO and QB Desktop)
- Proficiency in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a client-facing or consulting environment.
- Experience in a bookkeeping firm, outsourced accounting service, or public accounting setting.
- Previous experience reviewing financial records for businesses in multiple industries.
- Knowledge of financial process improvement and internal controls best practices.
- Experience mentoring junior accountants or leading a small accounting team.
- Ability to present financial data to non-accounting professionals in an understandable way.
