Biomedical Accelerator Mass Spectrometry: Improving Human Health One Atom at a Time Toxicologist Michael Malfatti, a Ph.D. in Pharmacology/Toxicology, is a Senior Biomedical Scientist in the Biosciences and Biotechnology Divisionat LLNL. This sensitive and precise method for detecting and quantifying rare, long‐lived isotopes allows for the use of low chemical and radioisotope doses and small sample size, making it a valuable tool for the biomedical sciences.
