Volunteers on the Chamber Economic Development/Land Use & Transportation Committee work with local government officials on economic development issues through avenues including business park expansion, community planning, transportation needs, air services and redevelopment. Land Use & Transportation Committee. The primary mission of the Modesto Chamber of Commerce is to develop and promote initiatives that will unleash the economic potential of the Greater Modesto Area for the benefit of all our citizens. Benefits accrue from a vibrant, growing economy in the form of more and better-paying jobs, a stronger sense of community and a continuously improving quality of life.
