Nov. 15, 2018 the City of Modesto, in partnership with Stanislaus County, is presenting two FREE screenings of the documentary Landfill Harmonic, the documentary follows the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, Paraguay, a musical group of kids who play instruments made entirely out of garbage. When their story goes viral, music director Favio Chavez and his group embark on a new adventure of arena performances and sold-out concerts. After a natural disaster strikes, Chavez must find a way to save the orchestra and provide a source of hope for the town. Doors open one hour prior to each screening.
